Das International DANCE Festival München ist endlich zurück! Unter der neuen Leitung von Tobias Staab setzt die Tanzbiennale einen Fokus auf die Schnittstelle von Tanz und Bildender Kunst. So präsentieren die Choreograf*innen Ligia Lewis, Jefta van Dinther, Richard Siegal und Trajal Harrell ihre interdisziplinären Arbeiten im Haus der Kunst und im Kunstbau des Lenbachhauses. Von aufstrebenden jungen Künstler*innen wie Ewa Dziarnowska, Davi Pontes & Wallace Ferreira, über gefeierte Kompanien wie (LA)HORDE und La Veronal, bis zu Stars wie Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker und Marlene Monteiro Freitas ist für alle etwas dabei. Aus München sind Moritz Ostruschnjak, Diego Tortelli & Miria Wurm, Studierende der Akademie der Bildenden Künste sowie die lokale Ballroom-Szene vertreten. DANCE 2025 findet vom 22. Mai bis 01. Juni und bespielt neben den üblichen Spielorten, den großen Museen und den Münchner Kammerspielen in dieser Ausgabe erstmals auch das Münchner Volkstheater.

Dear audience,
The International DANCE Festival Munich is finally back! Under the new direction of Tobias Staab, the dance biennial is focussing on the interface between dance and the visual arts. Choreographers Ligia Lewis, Jefta van Dinther, Richard Siegal and Trajal Harrell will present their interdisciplinary works at Haus der Kunst and Kunstbau of Lenbachhaus. From emerging young artists such as Ewa Dziarnowska, Davi Pontes & Wallace Ferreira, to celebrated companies such as (LA)HORDE and La Veronal, to famous artists such as Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker and Marlene Monteiro Freitas, there is something for everyone. From Munich, Moritz Ostruschnjak, Diego Tortelli & Miria Wurm, students from the Academy of Fine Arts and the local ballroom scene will be represented. DANCE 2025 will take place from 22 May to 1 June and, in addition to the usual venues, the major museums and Münchner Kammerspiele, this edition will also take place at Münchner Volkstheater for the first time.
